This web site is designed to help inform and shape the proposed wind farm development at Spittal Hill. The site provides information and links giving you access to a wide range of materials on both the proposed wind farm itself and the reasons for developing wind power as a whole. Critically, this site will endeavour to encourage all visitors to read and digest the information available and to respond, through the site or other means, highlighting your views on the Spittal Hill Wind Farm, renewable energy and the wider climate change debate.

BACKGROUND
Spittal Windfarm Ltd is a locally based company set up by Tom and Steven Pottinger who own the farm on Banniskirk Mains.
In the early 1990s Tom and Steven were approached by developers exploring the opportunity of developing a wind farm on their land. Wind data indicated the site would be an excellent location and, more recently, Tom and Steven decided to form a company in order to hopefully develop and run the site while retaining as much local ownership as possible.
